Rotation Tips and Tricks
  • You can cancel the aftercast of 2 skills;
    1. by Auto Attacking after using it.
    2. by stowing your weapon after using it.
  • If there are multiple targets in range of
you can cast it inside boss’s hitbox for an extra hit per additional target in range.
  • Try to always use

  • Try to always do your burst combos while the tether of
is active and the boss stands inside a Symbol.

Traitline Variation & Explanations
  • Radiance - virtues is the highest damage build for Dragonhunter. However, this requires you to position yourself properly so you can avoid anything that can remove your Aegis.
    1. If you are able to keep up Aegis, play Radiance - Virtues.
    2. If you aren’ t able to keep up Aegis, play Radiance - Zeal.

Heal and Utility Variations
  • You mostly run
due to its short cast time and the big amount of heal you get out of it.
  • is a good choice in well coordinated groups as you can use weaponstow to cancel the animation but still keep the block. However this also removes any kind of actual heal from the skill.
  • is a decent choice if you are lacking condition cleanse.
  • You mainly use
    ,
    and
    as your utilities in raids
  • Your third utility depends on your subgroup. If you are the only Guardian you need a Retaliation source that Chronos can share with their
    which can be either;
    1. .
    2. .
  • If there are two Guardians then
is the better choice since double
    is enough for permanent retalation.

Dragonhunter Power

  • and
are your best friends here, use them to block Blue AoEs or the stacked aura ticks of the Green and Blue Guardians during the split.
  • cast can be stowed to reduce downtime on your rotation while still getting the 2s block but this however removes any form of healing that it would provide.
  • If for some reason you need more healing then stick to
    and sidestep Blue AoEs.
  • Red Seekers count as additional targets for
, which makes using it a DPS increase. Use it inside the boss’s hitbox every time Red Seekers are in range.
  • Use
as mobility or extra healing during splits to help maintain your
    uptime.

Dragonhunter Power

  • You can immediately start your burst combo as early as possible by using
to block the first stomp by yourself with Aegis (See GIF below).
  • Make sure to use
    and
    after the boon strip.
  • During the cc phase you can use all of your skills while under the effect of
but be careful after it runs out as all of your attacks hit frequently and inflict damage to yourself due to Gorseval's retaliation.
  • During the split phase you can use Whirl Finishers in Light Fields to cleanse Weakness.
  • After the split ends, try to be on Greatsword with both
    and
    ready.
  • You can give yourself Aegis to block the stomps with
if your Chronos do not distort it (See GIF below).

Dragonhunter Power

  • Use
to reach the Launch Pads faster if you have to do cannons.
  • Before going up, make sure you’re on your Scepter set as you’ll want to come back on your Greatsword set to make use of
    to reach Sabetha faster.
  • To destroy the cannon use;
    1. .
    2. .
This should be enough to kill the cannon assuming you have some Retaliation left. If not you can use
    before swapping back to Greatsword.
  • Use
often to give allies Aegis and to prevent unlucky knockbacks into the flamewall or cannon shots.

Dragonhunter Power

  • Should take shrooms.
  • If you are doing the first Mushroom, you can precast
from Staff on Slothasor to give him Swiftness then swap back to your previous weapons set. This will make Slothasor reach your group faster due to him having Swiftness.
  • If you are Guardian in the warrior group takes
    +
    , so warrior can take
    instead
    . Always take
    regardless of group.
  • If you are the only Guardian in your subgroup then use
once at the start of the fight and then save it for every break bar to prevent Fear.
  • Try to be on your Greatsword after every break bar.
  • Use
inside Slothasor if there are slublings around as a DPS increase. Pull them to Slothasor if your group is struggling with pulls.
  • You can also use
to help with add control as the death of the slubling will refresh its cooldown.
  • You can use
    and/or

  • If your party lacks condition cleanse, you can run
. It also provides a huge burst heal.
  • If your party lacks CC you can save
    and also use
    on the sacrificed party member.
  • If you do run
    or use
for CC then remember to change
    for
. If you do this you need
to compensate for the loss in critical chance.

Dragonhunter Power

  • Swap out
    for
    and take
too. The 50% critical chance while under the effects of Retaliation is just too good during this event and Stability prevents the unlucky 1 hour long Fear for your allies.
  • resets on adds so spam it as much as possible and to pull adds too.
  • You can help clear adds by pulling them together with

Dragonhunter Power

  • The most imporant thing here is to remember to swap out
    to
on both your Torch and Greatsword.
  • As a last resort you can use
to help pull the orb, however it should be advised against as you will lose the 10% dammage modifier from

  • When other members of your squad are teleported off the main platform, you may want to save your traps to clear the spawning adds.

Dragonhunter Power

  • Due to the vast array of complicated mechanics here, your main objective here is to do rotation practise and try to not look pathetic next to the condition classes.
  • If your party ignores the Green Circles then it is best to save

Dragonhunter Power

  • Treat this boss as a DPS golem and just practise your rotations.

Dragonhunter Power
